Our Story
Care at Home began in 2017, helping elderly clients live dignified, independent lifestyles at home.
In 2024, Care at Home proudly became part of SE Health, a leading not-for-profit organization with over 115 years of experience delivering exceptional care across Canada. SE Health has been supporting communities with a mission to share knowledge, provide compassionate care, and help clients achieve their health and well-being goals.
Care at Home was founded with a vision to help elderly clients live dignified, independent lives in their own homes. We’ve always been rooted in the values of compassion, empathy, and family—and now, as part of SE Health, we are continuing this important work with the added strength and resources of one of Canada’s most respected healthcare organizations.
Here’s what’s new:
- Zulf Kassam has joined as our Managing Director, while Dawn Harsch, our founder, continues her focus on growing Exquisicare senior living homes within SE Health.
- We’re thrilled to welcome Taylor Hall as our new Care Manager, ensuring that every family receives nurse-managed, high-quality care.
- Tammy Lautner, a registered Social Worker, is now part of our team, providing families with free support to navigate complex healthcare decisions.
- We’ve expanded our services to Calgary, with a dedicated nurse Team Lead and caregivers, bringing our Care at Home values to more clients and families.

We never forget the person behind the story. That's why we assess each person's unique needs and carefully pair them with an at-home personal care expert that is a top-to-bottom match. This pairing creates friendships, bonds, and the utmost quality of loving and attentive home care imaginable.
Choosing us means you get a personalized home care plan tailored to individual needs. We never force a solution, we create them. How? A little magic... and staff who are genuine and incredibly good at what they do.
Client (you) reaches out for an assessment
Service commences, and Care Manager visits within the first week
Nurse visits and performs needs-based and home-safety assessments
Adjustments made, if needed
Nurse makes recommendation
Follow -up visits take place every 3 months or as needed
Client signs paperwork and submits void cheque and any funding documentation (i.e. Blue Cross authorisation letter)
At any point if your home-care worker is unable to show up due to illness or an emergency, we will replace your caregiver so you do not have an interruption in service
